"Families are the compass that guide us They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter." ~ Brad Henry

Ohana

We are one of the top high school rugby programs in the U.S.  We draw our players from a number of different high schools in the Washington Metropolitan area.  We have an outstanding international coaching staff.  We love rugby - but more than that we love honor, we love commitment, we love integrity, we love brotherhood, we love community.

  • We are a rugby family - an "Ohana" to use a Polynesian term, And in a "Ohana" - nobody gets forgotten - nobody gets left behind.
We have been in existence now for only four years.

Our first year, we lost every regular season game, but came back to win three playoff games and eventually the second division state championship for the State of Virginia.  In our second season we were 5 and 2 and lost in the semifinals of the first division state play offs for the State of Virginia. Last year two years we went undeafeted until the State Championship game. We will remember at all times and keep before us 15 - 9, the final score in the 2010 State Championship.

We strive for excellence, but we welcome all players and families.  If you want to play A side, commit yourself to serious rugby and all it requires - and compete to play for the US national side (as one of our players has) we have a place for you.

If you want to play for fun, and join a community that welcomes everyone with open arms, we have a place for you.

We only ask that you give us your commitment to play with honor, to play with integrity, and to join our community - our Ohana.

Not everyone can play A side—but we value every one of our players.  Rugby is the ultimate team sport, and you do not measure rugby teams solely by their won-loss record.  You judge them by their commitment to all of their players, and all of their families.

Join us—become a part of our Ohana.
